The R88\u2019s cabin is significantly wider<\/b> than that of the R22\/R44\/R66 family, so a single teetering cyclic in the center simply would not scale up gracefully. According to Robinson\u2019s CEO David Smith, they found that they \u201ccouldn\u2019t get the teetering cyclic to work\u201d on the broader airframe \u2013 the amount of stick motion required became too large and ungainly.<\/p>\n
