Code of Ethics

Helicopter pilots, members of GreekHelicopters.gr, are kindly requested to adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Prioritise the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers, recognising that these are their foremost responsibilities.

2. Refrain from falsifying any logs or records and discourage such actions among fellow crew members.

3. Obey all lawful requests from operators or helicopter owners, but refuse any directives that, in your professional judgment, are unlawful or compromise flight safety.

4. Show respect to employers, officers, directors, and supervisors, understanding that respect does not equate to subservience.

5. Keep employer’s business secrets confidential and ensure they are not improperly disclosed.

6. Avoid publishing articles, giving interviews, or allowing your name to be used in ways that could discredit another pilot, the helicopter industry, the profession, Greece, or GreekHelicopters.gr.

7. Support the profession by sharing information and experiences with fellow pilots, particularly with new private or commercial pilots.

8. Recognize mistakes and share them with colleagues to prevent them from making them themselves.

9. Maintain a personal character and conduct that reflect honor upon the profession.

10. Always remember that the ultimate responsibility for the safe completion of the flight lies with you.

Fly safe,
